Overview

One day the meadow king notices that the grass has grown so high that he can no longer see over it. He investigates and finds out that the sheep have not come to graze, that the shepherd cannot work because he is hungry, that the farmer does not give the shepherd anything to eat because the mice are eating everything and that the cat does not want to chase the mice because they are so dirty.
