1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to ShowSeeker ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ShowSeeker mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ShowSeeker is a movie and TV show discovery platform that lets you filter content by streaming platforms, genres, actors, ratings, and other criteria. The Service relies on data from third-party providers and is offered on an "as is" basis as described in these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. By registering, you represent and agree that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country to consent to data processing).
• The information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account.
• You will not create more than one account or share your account with another person.
• You will promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account at the contact address below.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Upload, share, or store content that infringes intellectual property rights or contains defamatory, obscene, or hateful material.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users.
• Send spam, chain messages, or bulk unsolicited communications.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or circumvent the security of the Service or any related systems.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service except as expressly permitted by law.

5. User-Generated Content

The Service allows you to create lists, mark items as seen, submit short film URLs (YouTube/Vimeo), and provide feedback. You retain ownership of the content you submit ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant ShowSeeker a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. We may, but are not obligated to, remove or restrict access to User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content and third-party content) are owned by ShowSeeker or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Movie, TV, and video metadata are provided by third parties (TMDB, OMDb, YouTube, Vimeo) and remain the property of their respective owners. ShowSeeker does not claim ownership of this data.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on the following third-party services. Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms:

• TMDB (The Movie Database) — movie and TV metadata.
• OMDb — additional ratings (IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic).
• YouTube Data API — short film hosting and playback.
• Vimeo API — short film hosting and playback.
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Movie availability on streaming platforms, ratings, and other content data are provided by third parties and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always confirm availability with the streaming provider directly.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SHOWSEEKER, ITS AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ShowSeeker, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the in-app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
